Informed Consent is A Lie

They call it “informed consent.”
But let’s be real most people aren’t informed at all.

They’re overwhelmed, rushed, or too trusting.
They sign forms without reading. They take advice without questioning.
They say yes without ever hearing the full story.

And that’s not an accident.

Consent means nothing if the information is filtered, buried, or one-sided.
If you’re only told the benefits but not the risks, that’s unequal.
If the alternatives are dismissed or never even mentioned, how is that fair?
That’s not informed consent.
That’s controlled compliance.

This matters. Because your health is your responsibility.
And what you agree to (or don’t) can shape the rest of your life.

So ask the hard questions.
Pause before signing.
Challenge the script.
Because the people handing you the pen may not be telling you everything you deserve to know.

If silence is the price of access, that’s not consent. That’s coercion.”
